In the right light, it looks as though it belongs to a dragonfly in the moonlight, ready to fly away at any moment! To protect the soft nature of ammolite, a two-part epoxy coating has been applied to this cabochon. This coating provides a Mohs hardness rating of approximately 8 out of 10, making them highly durable and even polishable! This piece measures 29.1mm x 17mm x 5.4mm.
