Valencian Countryside

This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in a gallery setting.  The canvas measures 25x39 inches and 29x43 inches with a gold frame.  

Bueno was educated at the Valencian School of Godella, the Academy Cots in Valencia and the Academy de Bellas Artes of San Carlos from 1947-1952. In 1953, at the age of 18, Bueno won first prize for his watercolor at the Valencian Art Fair; his winning painting is pictured on the following page.  Bueno’s first exhibition was held in 1956 in the Gallery of Art Lafuente in Valencia.

Over the last 50 years, Bueno has received recognition as a professional artist and participated in many exhibits. Bueno has continued to progress as an artist, learning from experience that can only come with time. “As the years go by and one continues to paint, the painter is always challenged to communicate sensations with fewer means and less labor. Each day his art grows richer. The application of paint after so many years tends to become instinctual. One does not even know exactly how certain effects are achieved. A kind of intelligence evolves between the mind, the arm, the hand and the brush.”

Giner Bueno is a member of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors of Madrid and the Valencia Fine Art Circle. The combination of Bueno’s long standing career and phenomenal depiction of the simplistic Mediterranean life have earned him the well deserved recognition as one of Spain’s foremost contemporary impressionists.
