This gem looks as good on the back as it does the front. The gem cutter took full advantage of its strong color saturation and natural striations to create this beautiful sapphire. It has classic oval faceting on one side, and rose cut facets on the other. It is only 4.5mm thick, making its already impressive 7.98ct weight look much larger. It measures 15.5mm x 12.1mm, and is perfect for pendant or low profile jewelry setting. It has a Mohs hardness rating of 9 out of 10, and was sourced from Madagascar. Heated only!
